Early in Term One, members of our Sports Academy, from the Year 7-9 group, received a last-minute invitation to contribute to the televised open finals of the Murray River Classic Beach Volleyball tournament at Thompson's Beach last weekend, broadcasted on SBS.

In the midst of sweltering conditions, these students willingly embraced the challenge of serving as ball boys/girls. Their task involved efficiently retrieving balls that veered out of play during the highly-watched finals, which they executed with aplomb! 

This was a great way for the Academy members to get out in the community and get up close and personal with elite athletes.
