Junior students come to grips with leadership
Early in Term One, our eight Junior School House Leaders travelled to Eastbank in Shepparton to take part in the GRIP Student Leadership Conference. GRIP is unique in that it concentrates specifically on training student leaders for their role as SCHOOL LEADERS.
The style, topics, and content of this conference all focus on what the students can do right now. The House Leaders had several chances to interact with schools from across the region and share their ideas. In total there were about 150 leaders present, from schools as far as Gunbower, Moama and Katunga.
Many ideas were generated such as improving the Ag Garden, holding lunch time activities and generally ‘stepping up’.
Our House Leaders Emily, Angelina, Isla, Kohen, Thomas, Mila, Heidi and Kegan represented Cobram AGS extremely well and epitomized the behaviours of an expected leader on the day.
