Cody receives prestigious academic honour
In a momentous occasion for our school, Year 12 student Cody Lincoln has been awarded one of the highest honours in Victorian education – the Premier's VCE Award. The prestigious accolade was presented to him for his outstanding study score of 50 in Physics, achieved during his Year 11 studies.
Cody's remarkable achievement sets him apart as one of only seven students across the entire state to receive this esteemed award for Physics, and he stands as the sole recipient from a school outside of Melbourne.
The awards ceremony, held at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, was a joyous event attended by Cody's family, as well as his academic mentors, Mr Gary Smith and Mrs Melonie Smith, who were there to cheer him on and celebrate his success.
Our entire school community should take great pride in Cody's extraordinary accomplishment. This achievement serves as an inspiring example to all students, demonstrating that with unwavering determination and dedication, anything is possible.
Cody's passion for Physics, coupled with his commitment to academic excellence, has resulted in this well-deserved recognition. His achievement showcases the exceptional talent and potential that can be found in rural schools such as ours.
In the spirit of celebration, the entire school community congratulates Cody on his outstanding achievement and we look forward to watching him do great things in the future!
